Friends and colleagues of Dublin man John Curran have described a "profound sense of shock, sadness and disbelief" at the news of his death in South Africa.
60-year-old retired principal John Curran, who's originally from Dublin, was found dead in his apartment in Cape Town yesterday with multiple stab wounds.
The dad of four had been the principal of Good Shepherd National School in Churchtown.
It's thought he was the victim of a robbery where only his phone was taken.
Local police are pursuing a number of lines of inquiry but no arrests have been made so far.
