Dubliner Kellie Harrington Into World Boxing Championships Final
Kellie Harrington has guaranteed herself at least a silver medal at the World Boxing Championships in Kazakhstan.
The Dubliner has reached the light-welterweight final, after a convincing unanimous win over Canada's Sara Kali earlier today.
All three judges scored the bout in favour of the Glasnevin woman, as she eased to victory 39-37, 40-34, 40-36.
She will now fight Wenlu Yang of China for Gold in the final tomorrow.
Harrington is just the fifth Irish fighter to reach a world championship final, along with Katie Taylor, Michael Conlan, Joe Ward and Jason Quigley.
Taylor is in semi final action this afternoon, as she goes up against France's Estelle Mossely for a place in the lightweight final.
