Record Breaking Rents "A Cause Of Shame"
Stillorgan, Dundrum, Sandyford and Glencullen are the most expensive areas to rent in Dublin, costing up to €2,097 a month.
The average city property has reached record levels again, at over €1,511 a month.
That's up from €1,436 in the last three months of 2016 which is a 5.2% increase.
Cabra and Finglas are two of the cheapest places to rent, with the monthly cost of a two-bed property costing an average of €1358 a month.
Prices are continuing to rise higher than their boom time rates despite the 4% cap on rent hikes.
Rosalind Carroll from the Residential Tenancies Board says these are still sharp increases for ordinary tenants. "It's still a big amount of money for somebody."
The Sinn Fein leader, Mary Lou Mc Donald, has labelled new rent rates as "scandalous", and believes the figures published today are a "cause of shame and disgrace".
