Clondalkin Residents Fed Up Over Illegal Dumping
Frustration is growing among residents in North Clondalkin due to illegal dumping in the area.
Last year complaints regarding the issue increased by 43 percent compared to 2016, according to local Councillor Mark Ward.
Ward posted the following video earlier this week, which sparked debate over the handling of the issue.
Despite the rise in complaints, he says resources remain the same to combat the issue.
Cllr. Ward says local people are getting fed up:
"The locals are living in this unfortunately. I'm from North Clondalin and the amount of illegal dumping we have now - there's now comparison to when I was growing up. The residents are getting very frustrated. The vast majority of the residents manage there waste responsibly. It's the behavior of the few that is impacting the many."
