CEO Of Inner City Helping Homeless Opens Up In Moving Post
"This guy was willing to kill himself because he didn’t want to spend one more night on the streets" - Powerful words from the CEO of Inner City Helping Homeless, Anthony Flynn.
Speaking to Humans Of Dublin, Anthony Flynn recalls of a night in Dublin City, when he talked a homeless man down off a bridge who just wanted the promise of a bed for the night.
"He had a chaotic life where he was not provided with accommodation and his needs were not supported by homeless services."
He continues, "It took me ten minutes to convince the guards to let me talk to him. I ended up talking to him for about half an hour and he finally came down from the bridge."
Anthony was nominated and shortlisted for the 'Best Dub' category, alongside blogger Sarah Hanrahan of I come undone, Michael Daly of Cystic Fibrosis, Colm Fogarty from Bridges Of Hope & Dermot Richardson from Tallaght Adventure World.
