August Bank Holiday Set To Be A Scorcher
You might want to call up your mates and plan a barbecue over the long weekend. According to Met Eireann, the August Bank Holiday weekend will be warm and sunny due to "high pressure starting to build over Ireland".
There could be some rain and drizzle on Thursday but clearer conditions are due to develop later in the day. Warm with highs of 20-25 degrees.
The forecaster says Friday and the weekend will be mostly dry, however there could be some showers. Temperatures could rech 26 degrees.
"Warm in most areas with a mix of cloud and sunshine. Though a lot of dry weather overall is indicated, showers are still possible. Daytime highs will be between 20 and 26 degrees and winds will be light."
It looks like the good weather will continue into next week.
"There's a high chance of settled weather continuing, but it could possibly be less warm after Monday", a spokesperson for Met Eireann added.
