216 Litres Of Beer Seized At Dublin Port
216 litres of beer and 26 litres of spirits have been sezied by officers at Dublin Port.
The alcohol was found on Sunday, hidden in a truck that was also carrying above-board booze into the country.
In the past week, Revenue has also seized cigarettes at Dublin Airport and steroids at Dublin Port.
Last Saturday, Revenue officers at Dublin Airport seized approximately 24,000 ‘Benson and Hedges’ cigarettes and 25kg of shisha tobacco, with a combined retail value of approximately €27,000.
The smuggled tobacco products were concealed in the luggage of two men in their twenties who had arrived on a flight from Kuwait via Doha.
While last Wednesday, officers at Dublin Port seized medicines, suspected to be steroids with estimated retail value of €54,000, when they stopped and searched a truck arriving in Dublin Port from Holyhead.
